Cushions in your interior: tips & tricks
They lie mostly on the sofa, the bed or on a chair. We love laying them out in abundance and in many different colours, shapes and sizes. Cushions! Cushions bring coherence between all furniture (if they don't quite match each other).
Tip #1: Cushions and rugs
Cushions come in endless colours and designs, which is why you can combine them perfectly with the furniture and home accessories in your home. One of these perfect combinations is cushions with rugs. A rug offers, just like a cushion, that extra bit to make your interior cosier. If you have the opportunity to combine cushions with a rug, we definitely recommend it!
Tip #2: Nothing softer than sheepskin!
You can hardly avoid it these days. Laying down a sheepskin in your interior is super popular. A sheepskin is often used as a sort of cushion over a chair or sofa. Sheepskins are known for their super soft appearance. An invitation to snuggle up against. You can also easily lay the sheepskin on the floor. This gives your feet a comfortable feel when you walk over the sheepskin.
Tip #3: Do's and don'ts when combining cushions
Unsure whether a particular shade fits your interior? Then try it safely with a cushion in that same colour. With cushions you can combine as much as you like. Step out of your comfort zone and mix all sorts of colours and patterns together. Going for a quieter and more unified interior instead? Then choose cushions in the same shades and calm patterns. Does your interior (still) not have much colour? Then add different coloured cushions and a colourful rug.
Dare to experiment! At first glance, some patterns and colours might not seem to go together, but they can ultimately deliver a very atmospheric result. In no time at all, you can brighten up your interior for a small price by adding cushions! This of course also applies to your outdoor interior. Are you someone who likes to sit outside and wants to make it as cosy as inside? Laying down a colourful outdoor rug together with cheerful cushions already creates plenty of atmosphere!
