The Wool Rug – Vienna Beige is a Scandinavian rug with the soft, natural look you expect from a Japandi-style rug. The organic, flowing lines of the pattern move gently across the cream-colored surface, softening sharp angles in the room. This gives the seating area a friendlier shape and visually connects the furniture without adding visual clutter.

The natural wool feels instantly warm and full underfoot. This beige rug is hand-tufted from wool and features a low, compact pile that is comfortable to walk on while keeping the surface sleek and tidy. Thanks to its solid weight, the rug lies flat, while the recycled cotton backing ensures it retains its shape. Wool naturally flexes slightly, helping the rug maintain its soft, natural appearance, and when combined with underfloor heating, it feels comfortable in every season.

Placed under a light sofa, by the dining table, or in the bedroom, the Wool Rug – Vienna Beige gives the space a calm, rounded foundation. An organic rug and modern design rug in one—perfect for those seeking simplicity and comfort with visible quality.

Cleaning methods

Vacuum cleaner

You can vacuum the rug with the bristles tucked in. To protect the delicate fibers, we advise against using vacuum cleaners (stick vacuums/robot vacuums), and for flat-woven rugs, to vacuum in the direction of the weave.

Wool

Sheep's wool is the basis of this rug, and owes its dirt and moisture repellent properties to lanolin, the wool's own natural grease, which also insulates against the cold and muffles sound better than a hard floor. In the first few weeks the fibre may shed slightly, a normal trait that settles down with regular vacuuming. Because wool rugs are often hand knotted or hand woven, small irregularities and slight size variations are normal.

Care

Vacuum twice a week with the brush retracted, this also reduces shedding on a new wool rug. Blot a spill immediately with a clean, slightly damp cloth without rubbing, so dirt does not work further into the fibre. Wool dries more slowly than other materials, so avoid getting it too wet. Shake the rug out outside occasionally for a deeper clean between vacuuming.

Your rug, made by hand

No two are the same

Small differences in the pattern come with handwork, and make each rug unique.

Row by row

A rug like this is built up by hand, one row at a time, by someone who has done it for years.

Made to stay

A handmade rug is built to be walked on for years, which is why these are the ones that get passed on.
